The food is outstanding i would recommend the fried porkchop hong kong style 9.3/10. The rice has so much flavor including the right amount of garlic but next time I'll definitely get extra garlic 8.7/10. The longganisa and tocino just tops it all off and i would rate this dish 8.4/10. It was also my first time being here and the young lady in the front was very nice and helpful. Its also a family buiness as well so come in and try and the process is very affordable. Look at the buisness hours before coming and they do not accept any DEBIT/ CREDIT bring cash!!

I want to say I've been coming here for at least 15yrs cause it feels that long. Even since moving out of the city this is what's on top of mind when I find myself passing through. The family who runs this has always provided love & service w/ a smile. My go-to is typically HK Porkchop w/ Tocino. Garlic fried rice, pineapple & egg, sriracha & vinegar. Just stop it, what else do you need.

Quick yummy takeout place with super affordable prices. Portions are pretty big as well. The family tried the HK style pork chops, tosino-silog, and spam-silog all made with over easy eggs and garlic rice. Everything came out yummy and was ready within 15 mins. I highly suggest calling your order in if you can get through.

I don't know how I have not discovered this place sooner. Sister store to Superstar, Gateway Kitchen is a staple in Daly City. There is a vast selection of Filipino silogs to choose from with great portions and great price. Definitely a bang for your buck. When I went there, I ordered my ultimate comfort food--tosilog--and it was absolutely delicious. The tocino was tender and flavorful and the garlic fried rice had a nice texture. The egg and pineapple served as good buffers for the saltiness of the tocino. Service was great. No dine-in and cash only, but you will NOT be disappointed.

Definitely the bang for your buck! We had a huge order of 9 plates from Gateway, and it all came out to just about $60. I would like to call out that this place is Cash Only, so be prepared for that. There is a nearby liquor store that has an ATM machine for a $3 charge. The staff worked really hard to get our food ready. I appreciate that they were able to make it all in just 20 minutes. The food was great. It does come with A LOT of rice, so maybe look into ordering extra protein on the side and split with your friend or partner. I would love to come back here whenever I am local in the area to support them again. Very happy that we stumbled upon this place.

It's a hole in the wall kinda place where their prices haven't gone up like the rest, but it's only takeout. I had to do a double-take on their prices! And it seems lots of people are looking for cheap eats cuz there's a line out the door that keeps on going. But they work quickly to get you on your way. Hong Kong-style pork chops: pretty decent portion and they were crispy on the outside having a light batter keeping the meat juicy. 5/5 Fried calamari: small portion compared to the chops. It reminded me of onion rings but squid instead. Probably won't order that again. 3/5 The sides: Garlic fried rice which was flavorful and plentiful. Trying to cut back on carbs, but I kept eating! The egg was runny which was good, but hidden under the pineapples. Though I think it should be on top of the rice. And canned pineapples were ok. 3.5/5 Definitely gonna stick with the chops the next time we go back! They ran out of chicken leg quarters. So we'll have to try that next time too. It comes with garlic fried rice, an egg, and pineapple chunks. 2 orders and it was around $14! Can't even get one order at most restaurants for $14 much less 2!! Service was efficient and nice. Only took maybe 7 minutes to get our orders. So if you're trying to strrrrretch that dollar, hit up Gateway Kitchen!

The best way I can describe this place is it's the most affordable and most delicious Filipino food ever. It's really one of the first Asian fusion foods in Daly City and San Francisco. It's sister store is Superstar but all in all this place really is the best place to eat some good Hong Kong style pork chops or even Tocino silog with its signature garlic rice! Service is fast and food prices are all under $10 for a meal and it's great! You gotta bring cash because it is cash only and the place is To-Go but like I said food is indeed A-1!

More of a 4.25 Very small mom and pop shop. They were quite busy on a Saturday morning. Line to order. Bunch of people waiting for their order or to pick up their phone orders. Phones ringing from people trying to place an order. Even though it was super busy, the family? was still sweet and worked very hard. Especially the girl working in the front. FOOD: - HK pork chop silog: The pork was battered really well. It was perfectly seasoned and the pork was nice and juicy and easy to eat. The yolk was nice and runny. The pineapples were good. Garlic was was ok, I agree with another person that the fried garlic can get a little bitter when over fried. - Tuyo silog: Similar to pork silog, but with small crispy fish. Overall: Tasty food with good portions
